BLACK MIDGE DRY FLY

The go-to midge imitation. Great for year-round fishing when small insects are about. No frills or tricks with this one. A midge pattern that does its job, imitates midges. When small flies hover over the water’s surface and trout rise, a midge pattern is cast out. It helps to match the color to the midges in the area, so select a variety of colors with this pattern. A row of black, brown, cream, dun, and olive is a good start. This fly is great all year, but can be your best friend for winter fishing.
